Facilities
Access for Wheelchair users and prams
Indoor access is available for the above and anyone who struggles with steps via the kitchen door at the back of the building. There are 3 steps at the front, but access via the kitchen involves no steps at all. The tea garden is wheelchair and pram friendly with no steps to negotiate.
Gluten Free provision
We always have the following items available which are popular for those with a gluten intolerance: Gluten free home made vegetable soup, gluten free bread for sandwiches and toasties, jacket potatoes, salad platters, gluten free chocolate cake.
Vegetarian choices
We always have the following items available on the menu; Linda McCartney Vegetarian sausages for sandwiches, meals and breakfasts, homemade vegetable soup, roast vegetable with basil sauce pie with vegetarian pastry served with homemade mash and petit pois; jacket potatoes, paninis, mozzarella and tomato salad platter.
Cyclists
Bikes can be parked safely in the garden against the hedges and outbuildings.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome in the garden as long as they are on their leads. In quieter times in the winter dogs can come inside, in busier times their presence is unfair on other customers.
Payment
At the moment we can only accept payment in cash or by cheque. However the Post Office next door offers a banking service for all banks except Natwest and HSBC; and a cash back facility is available free of charge for all transactions more than £5.
Toilet facilities
Presently we have one toilet which is for shared use. There is a wheelchair access washroom 50 metres away by the tourist information office in the village square.
